Dr Aswath on Pranayama



Most of us had heard about kmch pediatrician Dr Aswath. I am always admired by his profession and his character.

Usually to meet him for consultation they used to send a group of around 10 kids accompanied by 1 parent for each child. This time I got a chance to take mugi to Dr Aswath for a medical review. Around 30 mnts I saw him giving lot of advice to parents apart from medical advice.

Around 6 to 7 kids out of 10 kids on that  group was suffering from some sort of respiratory issues. For this issue Dr had advised some medicines according to the kids. And he strongly recommended to practice some other activities like doing Pranayama, yoga and physical exercise. I was much impressed by this.

Nowadays kids are facing more respiratory problems due to pollution. I had noticed a lot. Whenever I am in Vavi I always try to walk at least 15-20 mnts a day in fresh air. I can feel the difference while walking early morning at Tirupur and in Vavi.

Now on wards as we have to seriously consider adding Pranayama to our routine life.

Try to minimize using air conditioning and fan at home. Open windows to get fresh air circulation. Allow kids to play more. Try to go for Art of living course.

Let us make some changes in our lifestyle for betterment of our kids.
